We provide classroom and on-the-job training as well as a van, tools, and uniforms. Our Satellite TV Technicians/Installers are responsible for multiple customer visits daily which could include completing site surveys, installing satellite equipment, ensuring a quality broadband internet connection and educating our customers on our award-winning DISH Satellite TV services. Bring your computer, electrical, maintenance/repair, general labor, cable, military, customer service and/or customer relationship experience to DISH!

Satellite TV Installers/Technician Primary

Responsibilities:
  • Conducting site surveys - determine the best positioning of our equipment for strongest signal reception

  • Installing cutting edge technology - place mounts, satellite dishes and receivers while ensuring broadband connectivity

  • Educating customers - review order with the customer and teach them the basics to use and enjoy their new service and equipment

  • Providing Dish Smart Home Services - successful technicians offer our customers additional services and products while earning incentives and building new skill sets that will propel them into the future of in-home services delivery

Skills

  • Experience and Requirements

A successful Satellite TV Installer/Technician will have the following:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • High energy, being resourceful, and strong multi-tasking skills

  • Basic computer skills; basic electronics and/or audio/video knowledge is helpful.

  • Strong customer service skills; friendly, approachable and motivated with a strong work ethic and high degree of integrity.

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time on a ladder, lift over 70 lbs at times, crawl into small spaces, work in all climates and remain within the individual weight requirement of 335 lbs.

  • Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays and evenings.

  • High school diploma or GED preferred; college or technical/vocational school a plus.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license in the State you are seeking employment in, with a driving record that meets DISH's minimum safety standard.

  • Cable industry experience is a plus.

Our Home-Based Satellite TV Installer/Technicians are required to have the following:

  • Minimum 5'x5'x10' covered and secured area at technician residence.

  • Computer with broadband internet.

  • Ability to plug in all DISH Network chargeable devices.

  • Dedicated off street parking at technician residence.

  • Ground floor access for equipment (preferred).

SUMMARY This position compiles ordered pharmaceuticals, supplies and equipment and delivers ordered products to patients' homes in an accurate, courteous and timely manner. Ensures a smooth flow of activities related to deliveries, maintenance of supplies, pick up following discharge, rotating of patient supplies and drugs, cleaning and maintaining equipment and appropriated documentation. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation. * Maintains delivery vehicle to include cleaning, inspecting and scheduling needed service as well as maintaining back-up supplies for on-call supply calls. * Operates the vehicle in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. * Ensures full adherence to policies and procedures, including maintenance of accurate and complete records in compliance with federal and state regulations (e.g. FDA, DOT, OSHA) regarding the transport and handling of hazardous and biohazardous materials. * Accurately compiles ordered medication, supplies, equipment and associated documentation in preparation for delivery; obtains cross-check to ensure accuracy of compiled order. Identifies and reports potential inventory/delivery problems to supervisor and initiates actions to resolve. * Organizes delivery routing to meet therapy and patient schedules while maximizing cost-efficiency. Communicates with dispatch regarding status of delivery route. Completes all documentation required for delivery of supplies and products. Ensures delivery tickets are signed and dated properly. * Discreetly delivers and/or picks up medications, supplies and equipment to/from patients' homes and other locations as needed. Delivers controlled substances in a safe and accountable manner. * Stores/packages medications, supplies and equipment appropriately to preserve product integrity and driver safety during transport. Stores medications appropriately in the home and removes outdated items. Assists patients with the set-up of their equipment and supplies. * Orders, receives and maintains pharmacy supplies within established pars, rotates supply inventories so that products with oldest expiration dates are used first. * Participate in pump management with current pump distributor including receiving and tracking infusion pumps per policy. Uses Onetrack system to manage infusion pumps and assure that preventative maintenance schedule is current. Cleans and calibrates infusion pumps and poles per manufacturer guidelines. * Performs the Warehouse Technicians functions as needed. * Participates in competency assessment program and successfully demonstrates compliance with the standards of performance identified. Attends all required inservices annually. Observes all Company safety rules and regulations. * Performs on-call responsibilities as scheduled per department requirements. * Assists in orienting new warehouse team members. * Each employee is responsible for adhering to those performance programs, policies, procedures, guidelines and internal control standards established to guide the operation of the Company.
