February 1999 Last Revision: December 2018 JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for checking, loading, delivery, set-up and in-servicing of home medical equipment, drugs and supplies.

Schedules visits to evaluate home environments for safe and effective use of equipment. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

Previous experience driving and delivering preferred. LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: Valid, current driver's license required.

CPR certification required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building. 2.

Ensures on-time delivery of drugs, supplies, and equipment and proper setup and instruction of home medical equipment. 3. Provides patient education and assessment as appropriate. 4. Provides on-call emergency response 24 hours per day, seven days per week. 5.

Maintains accurate records of activities, obtains patient signatures on documents and returns paperwork to office. 6. Maintains compliance with all regulatory guidelines. 7. Promotes positive image of BHHC in the community. 8.

Participates in the team approach to quality improvement to support BHHC's commitment to the philosophy and principles of Total Quality. 9. Protects self, co-workers, and facility by following approved policies and procedures to prevent the spread of bloodborne and/or airborne diseases. 10. Provides age/developmentally appropriate patient care in accordance with Age-Specific Care Guidelines for the specific age groups served. 11.

Participates in planning processes by establishing personal goals to support quality improvement efforts and contribute to the achievement of department objectives. SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to communicate and comprehend oral and written communications Ability to function efficiently in a stressful environment Good observation communication skills Self-directed and ability to work with little supervision WORK ENVIRONMENT:
