High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate Degree Prefer
Strong analytic skills, attention to detail, and ability to work within time constraints.
Must possess high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
Excellent level of oral and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate across all departments within the organization.
Intermediate level of computer skills and the ability to function in a windows environment utilizing Outlook, Word and Excel.
Professional and effective interpersonal skills.
Solid decision making skills with display of professionalism in maintaining confidentiality.
Ability to build strong relationships with internal business partners to achieve success. Ability to rapidly acquire detailed knowledge of departmental policies, practices and procedures.
Committed to taking responsibility and ownership for agreed actions and delivery.
Reports to work on a daily and timely basis.
Previous experience in an office setting is a plus
Mortgage banking experience is a plus.

Functions * Manage and coach at least five Mortgage loan officers to achieve required performance levels by establishing a production oriented sales team in a local market. * Ensure quality of work completed by loan officers meets Banks customer service standards, adheres to Federal and State guidelines and regulations, and company's policies and procedures. * Manage loan officer's performance on key bank initiatives including cross selling, ROQ, and customer service surveys. Responsible for selection and hiring, training and development, and performance management for all loan officers. * Originate residential loans through solicitation of real estate brokers and consumers. * Obtain required documents, takes special credit applications and follows through to closing. * Sell the advantages of the company and various loan products. * May recommend loan terms. Communicate regularly with regional manager to resolve issues and ensure overall operational efficiencies. * Participate in the solicitation of all types of single-family loans, focusing on spot and single-family development loans. * Call on trade, takes applications, reviews credit, negotiates rates within company guidelines and follows through on closing. * Attend community and real estate lending related events and establishes partnerships. * Create a business approach to enable achievement of volume objectives through management of Mortgage Loan Officers. * Provide guidance and coaching in loan production and financing. * Develop and controls production budgets and marketing plans monthly for assigned Loan Officers. * Review the quality and type of loan applications. * Manage the accomplishment of production goals and ensures quality production administration. * Interface with internal staff, vendors, borrowers and third-party referral sources. * Comply with all Federal, State, and local consumer protection laws governing loan origination including the SAFE Act, the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), their implementing regulations (Regulations G and Z), and SAFE Act registration and renewal rules as defined by the bank. * Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations that apply to your position, and keep up to date on regulation changes. * Maintain working knowledge of our policies and procedures regarding the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations that apply to your position. Qualifications * 5+ years of residential mortgage experience, including products and services, operational flow, and regulatory compliance. * 1-3 years of management/leadership experience, with demonstrated ability to manage and develop others. * Bachelor's degree or equivalent. * Strong management and recruiting skills. Prior experience managing a team preferred. * Advanced knowledge of mortgage lending regulations, policies, procedures, practices and documentation. Extensive understanding of residential mortgage lending, mortgage product knowledge (including conventional, FHA, VA, non-confirming, Jumbo, RO, Portfolio, and state loan programs), and quality control. * Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage internal and external customer relationships. * Proven sales and marketing success, with track record of success in developing new clients and business through prospecting, sourcing and networking. * Must be registered as a MLO, in compliance with S.A.F.E. Act requirements. Registered Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) This position requires you to act as a Bank MLO, which is defined as an individual authorized by the Bank to take mortgage loan applications, offer a mortgage, arrange a mortgage, assist a consumer in obtaining or applying to obtain a mortgage, negotiate a mortgage, otherwise obtain or make a mortgage for another person, represent to the public (through advertising or other means of communication) that such person can or will perform any of these activities, or refer a consumer to a loan originator (Note: Except those employees of the Bank who do not discuss particular credit terms available and do not refer the consumer, based on the employee's assessment of the consumer's financial characteristics to a particular Bank MLO) for compensation or gain. All MLOs will be required to register as an MLO complying with the SAFE Act requirements. This position is authorized to act as a Bank Closed-End MLO, which is defined as any position designated to perform the activities of a Bank MLO for closed-end transactions, and thus subject to specific Truth-in-Lending Act and Regulation Z Loan Originator requirements.
