Home Health Registered Nurse

Looking for a motivated, compassionate nurse to provide exceptional care to our patients.

Position:

• 32 -40 hour position

• Primarily 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p. m Monday - Friday with call every 8th day (includes occasional weekends)

Responsibilities:

• Observes, collects, and records objective/subjective data on admission assessment and initiates plan and ongoing of treatment. Teaches and supervises patients.

• Teaches basic principles of healthful living in relation to changing needs of individuals in all age groups. Guides families toward self-help in recognition and solution of physical, emotional, and environmental health problems. Recognizes attitudes that permit them to make optimum use of available health services.

• Assists the physician by performing examination and treatments. Observes, evaluates and reports to the physician the patient's physical and emotional condition and reaction to drugs or treatments. Interprets to physician social and physical factors in the environment that affect patient care.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure, State of Iowa.

• Home health nursing experience preferred.

• Personal qualities and ability to deal with patients and families.

• Experience in nursing and patient education. Willing to accept philosophy, purpose, and ideals of organization. Willing to work irregular and/or less favorable hours. Interest in improving skills in home health nursing and able to handle confidential material.

• Maintains current Iowa driver's license and liability insurance on vehicle used.
