Summary

Provide direction, coordination, supervision and implementation of professional and supportive services to clients in a safe and cost-effective manner by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Supports company mission, values, strategic goals and high standards of customer service.

  • Responsible for directing the accurate, complete and timely provision of quality client care and services in compliance with regulatory, operational and financial requirements.

  • Assures the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of clinical records in compliance with regulatory, operational and financial requirements.

  • Responsible for monitoring and evaluation of clinical measures of performance. Develops and follows through with action plans based upon measurement results.

  • Actively participates in the recruitment, selection, orientation and retention of qualified clinical staff. Responsible for ensuring competency standards for staff are met.

  • Provides supervision, direction and leadership to clinical staff, including but not limited to performance feedback, coaching, mentoring and problem resolution.

  • Provides training and educational opportunities for clinical staff. Participates in and/or facilitates these activities as necessary.

  • Responsible for the coordination and/or completion of performance improvement activities.

  • Actively participates in activities such as strategic planning, PA meetings, budget development and financial performance; provide sales support when necessary.

  • Ensures appropriate on-call coverage and participates in rotation as needed.

  • Responsible for clinical policy and procedure development and implementation.

  • Collaboratively works with the Home Health Director to ensure proper coding diagnosis for optimal reimbursement through payers.

  • Collaboratively works with Home Health Director as applicable to recruit, select, orient and retain office staff.

  • Maintain the confidentiality of all resident, staff and organization information.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises employees in the Home Health Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

Must be a Registered Nurse with a minimum of two years Home Health Care experience and at least one year of supervisory experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must be a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio. Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and proof of insurance.
