Lakeview Village Home Health is searching for caring, dedicated, and trustworthy full-time Home Health Aides to join our team!

Lakeview Village in Lenexa, Kansas is a 5-Star not-for-profit continuing care retirement community that offers home health, sub-acute rehabilitation, and long-term care, celebrating its 60th anniversary and 5th straight year as the U.S News & World Report Best Short Stay Rehab.

The Home Health Aide at Lakeview Village will be responsible for providing personal care services according to the client's plan of care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The home health aide will also have office responsibilities, as assigned, that may include, but not limited to, scheduling and intake.

Job Details:

  • Assists with client ADLs (activities of daily living) ensuring client is clean and appropriate. Provides bathing, grooming, oral care, peri care, catheter care, ostomy care, shampooing hair, shaving and any other personal care needed. Assists with dressing. Other personal care assistance as required.

  • Follow plan of care for meal planning, prepping, as well as any medical or special procedures, and emergency care as needed and/or required.

  • Medication observation only. Identify and report observations concerning client's medication.

  • Provides support to the Home Health Scheduler and Home Health Intake Coordinator. (See job description for Home Health Scheduler and Home Health Intake Coordinator for specifics).

Qualifications

  • Must be certified in the state of Kansas as a certified nurse assistant and home health aide.

  • Requires GED or High School Diploma.

  • Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications and Spreadsheets (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) and must be able to learn the computer systems used at Lakeview Village.

  • Has the demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Ability to working independently, display a kind, courteous attitude, and work in a team-oriented setting with Clients, relatives, staff and others.

  • Possesses an empathetic approach to the elderly.

  • Able to work in a team setting with residents, relatives, staff, and others.
