General Purpose:

The Home Health Aide provides hands-on personal care to clients in their home. The hours vary by case.

Essential Functions:

  • Reads and records temperature, pulse, and respiration's.

  • Assists, performs and trains patient/client and family in activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, nail and skin care, oral hygiene, toileting and elimination and adequate nutritional intake.

  • Promotes safe environment and maintain unobstructed pathways while providing care.

  • Assists with ambulation, transfers and/or range of motion exercises.

  • Assists with incidental/instrumental activities of daily living such as shopping, meal preparation, socialization activities, homemaking and maintaining a clean and safe physical environment.

  • Assists in medication reminding

  • Assists in administering medications ordinarily self-administered.

  • Utilizes infection prevention and control measures such as universal precautions, hand washing, and personal protective equipment.

  • Follows the assignment sheet/service plan performing only tasks that are assigned.

  • Recognizes, reports, and records/documents changes in patient/client condition and safety to supervisor.

  • Document observations, activities and service provided in an accurate, complete and timely manner.

  • Organizes self to carry out visits/shifts and tasks.

  • Completes mandatory Interim HealthCare in-services and provides requested documents to keep employee file current.

  • Participates in Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program, as requested.

  • Participates in the Office's Emergency Preparedness Program, as requested.

  • Completes other assignments as requested and assigned.

  • Honors patient rights.

  • Accesses personal health information ("PHI") necessary to fulfill the above duties and responsibilities. Access to use and ability to disclose PHI is further defined by each organization/department.

Minimum Education & Experience

Requirements:
  • Eighteen (18) years of age or older.
  • CPR Certified (Preferred not required)
  • 6 months experience working as a caregiver or Certified Nursing Assistant

Overview: In the role of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist working in Jefferson you will be part of the site Operations Engineering team. The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day environmental, health and safety functions at an assigned location. This includes, but is not limited to, implementing the organization's safety program, working with personnel to maintain a safe and healthy work environment, monitoring the facility and processes for adherence to OSHA, EPA, Wisconsin DNR, DOT, and other local regulations and guidelines. Additionally, this role is responsible for the elimination of industrial incidents, conducting environmental monitoring and reporting, providing assistance with environmental permit applications, and assisting with internal EHS audits for the facility. This position works closely with cross-functional teams throughout the facility and leads the pursuit of zero incidents. This position reports to the Operations Engineering Manager and works closely with manufacturing, site engineering, and corporate EHS teams. : Responsibilities: * Regulatory Compliance Monitoring and Reporting: * Serve as the primary hazardous waste SME, leading efforts to reduce hazardous waste and implement recycling programs. * Direct industrial hygiene sampling and support. * Manage the facility SDS/Hazard Communication program. * Manage and perform the planning, training, inspection, reporting and recordkeeping requirements for all environmental and safety compliance programs. * Lead training efforts for EHS related activities within facility. * Supporting Strategic Initiatives: * Provide engaging environmental, health, and safety leadership to the facility employees. * Lead Executive and Employee Safety Committees. * Develop and support strategic initiatives designed to produce best in class EHS performance. * Worksite Analysis: * Conduct facility audits used to ensure that consistent, best-in-class results and compliance are followed to enable operational excellence. * Prepare reports of findings with recommendations for corrective action. * Conduct and document monthly facility inspections of hazardous waste accumulation/ chemical storage areas. * Perform Job Safety Analysis of all facility worksite activities and lead actions for controls and countermeasures. * Hazard Prevention and Control: * Perform ergonomic and safety risk assessments virtually or hands-on for product and process capability. * Lead the identification, assessment and resolution of ergonomic issues including physical part validation of acceptability to ergonomic standards. * Observe workers to determine proper use of prescribed safety equipment and procedures. * Train and demonstrate proper use of safety equipment. Investigate incidents (including injuries, property damage, near misses, releases, and losses) to determine root causes and prepares/directs corrective and preventive action plans. : Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience * 1 year of experience implementing occupational safety and environmental programs * Ability to travel within Wisconsin up to 20% of the time.
