Pediatria HealthCare operates a Private Duty Nursing (PDN) , which provides services to medically fragile children. To meet the demands of program growth, we have an immediate opening for a nursing assistant.
This position works with our nursing staff in providing hands-on care to the pediatric patient's enrolled in our program.
Candidates must have prior nursing assistant experience, a favorable criminal report as mandated by state requirements. CPR and 1st Aid training are conditions of employment and all applicants must submit to pre-employment and random drug screening.
1.Provides personal care, rehabilitative, and supportive services.
Follows verbal and written directions provided by the Registered Nurse or registered therapist, dependent upon the type of assignment.
Assists in the implementation of a realistic, goal-oriented Plan of Care.
Provides hands-on personal care services to client.
Assists clients in activities of daily living.
Plans and prepares meals.
Maintains a clean and safe environment.
Performs assigned housekeeping tasks.
Assists the client with medications which are ordinarily self-administered, as required by the assigned case and allowed by state regulations.
May perform additional tasks/procedures only if specific and adequate training has been given and documented by the supervisory Registered Nurse or Therapist and allowed by state regulations.
2.Provides observations and follow-up.
Observes, records, and reports significant changes in the status of the client and/or the family supervisor.
Participates in case conferences and inservice programs as required.
3.Maintains and submits documentation as required by the company.
1.Accurately records his/her observations and completed tasks.
NOTE: Submission of clinical documentation, visit slips, and daily time summaries/time slips is required for satisfactory completion of an assignment as defined by company policy. Failure to provide this documentation will result in disciplinary action and in the case of daily time summaries/time slips, the company will be unable to generate a paycheck due to lack of written documentation for hours worked.
4.Maintains confidentiality regarding clients, health care staff, and documentation.
5.Performs additional duties assigned on response to client/office/facility needs
