Coordinate all aspects of Stem Cell Accreditation process as well as other accreditation / certification processes within the Hematology/Oncology, Stem Cell Transplant Programs and NMDP Donor Center. This position works collaboratively with CCHCS quality department to ensure that all aspects of the Hematology/Oncology Center are practicing in compliance with applicable regulatory standards such as The Joint Commission (TJC) and other federal and state regulatory standards.

This position will ensure appropriate monitoring and auditing for FACT standard compliance for the apheresis and stem cell transplant programs and that the quality management plans are administered as written. This position is integral in the identification and correction of regulatory compliance issues. This position works closely with the hematology/oncology educators, physicians, clinical research staff and other staff members within the Hematology/Oncology program to identify clinical quality and risk management issues related to patient care.

She/he will recommend actions for improvement and may facilitate quality improvement teams as indicated. This position will assist with oversight of on-going audits and monitoring and will facilitate reporting of the findings to the Quality in Practice Committee, Quality Improvement Committee, Stem Cell Transplant QI Committee, Cancer Committee, and unit/department staff meetings. This individual will plan work priorities in accordance to program goals.

Qualifications: Bachelor#s Degree required, Master#s preferred. Management experience and experience in healthcare quality and CQI methodology preferred. Understanding of TJC standards and CMS regulatory compliance/standards preferred.

Effective communication skills are essential. Organizational skills, problem solving, and critical thinking abilities essential.

Ability to collaborate and work within a team environment is essential.

Motivated, self-directed, and independent thinker is essential. Writing skills are helpful. Computer experience is essential.

Attention to detail is essential. Current licensure to practice professional nursing Current BLS #ZR
