Summary:
Under general supervision, provides education, technical assistance and training on HIV testing and biomedical interventions to medical providers.

Manages the planning and implementation of clinical educational offerings within the district. Performs HIV testing, counseling, and outreach services to high-risk residents in the community. The preferred candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and time-management skills.

Other duties as assigned. Essential Functions includes but limited to: Implements and maintains the medical provider education campaign.

Provides technical assistance and advise to develop, implement, and improve HIV testing procedures in primary care settings, community health centers, and institutions. Conducts Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and Post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) Inservice training for private providers. Expands the network of medical professionals prescribing PrEP.. Provides HIV pre- and post-test client-centered counseling, rapid HIV testing, risk assessments, risk reduction coaching, and PrEP eligibility screenings.

This position works to promote and protect the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas Counties. This is a grant-funded position under HIV Prevention.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in nursing, public health or related field from an accredited college or university AND Three years of PHN experience AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certified OR Three years of experience at the lower-level PH Nursing Prog Consultant 2 (HCP211) or position equivalent AND current Georgia Registered Nurse license and CPR certified.

Preferred Job-Related Skills:
Experience in HIV prevention and biomedical interventions AND current Georgia Registered Nurse license AND CPR certified OR Two years of experience at the lower-level PH Nursing Prog Consultant (HCP210) or position equivalent AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certified. Experience teaching educational material AND development experience.

Work Conditions & Physical Demands: This position requires flexibility of working in general office environment, clinic environment, and community outreach.

Not always a sedentary position; will require some walking and long periods of standing. Extensive travel within district and state is required. Will require working directly with blood-borne pathogens.

Salary Information: $52,926 annually / Pay Grade M

AmeriCorps National members serve the community in direct service and capacity building activities. What will you do? The homeowner services coordinator builds and maintains the pipeline of homeowner families by leading efforts to recruit and educate qualified families for both homeownership and home repair opportunities. This role involves recruiting homeowner family applicants and serving as their point of contact as they go through the application process. Together with a family selection committee, you help select homeowner families for a variety of housing products including new home construction, repair or rehab of existing homes and weatherization projects. * Coordinate existing programs to recruit homeowner applicants for traditional homeownership opportunities or for expanded housing products such rehab, repair or weather revitalization. * Conduct applicant orientations and assist families throughout process of completing the housing application. * Work with the family selection committee to select homeowner families based on established criteria and regulations. * Work with the family services committee and staff to provide educational opportunities to homeowner families. * On occasion, build alongside homeowner families as they complete their contract requirements. This position will focus on homeowner services aspects of Habitat affiliate operations. Where will you serve? Smyrna is located about 10 miles northwest of Atlanta, Georgia, and is located near three interstate and intrastate highway systems for easy access to metro Atlanta's major attractions, such as Truist Park, Georgia Aquarium, Six Flags Over Georgia, the Silver Comet Trail and many more. Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Metro Atlanta is located in Smyrna and serves Cobb, Douglas and Paulding counties. Our service area is home to a diverse population of more than 1 million residents. We have partnered with more than 500 first time homebuyers to build homes in collaboration with corporate and community sponsors. Additionally, we support senior citizens and U.S. veterans to improve the homes they currently own and occupy. Our organization is operated by a 12 member board of directors, 7 full-time employees, 3 part-time employees, and more than 2,000 volunteers.
