U-Haul meet our customers' needs and demands. U-Haul's needs for Customer Service Representatives are significantly greater on evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Day to day duties of a Customer Service Representative:

As a Customer Service Representative you will interface with U-Haul customers to identify what they are looking for so that you can recommend the best moving supplies or storage solutions for their moving needs. A Customer Service Representative will assist customers inside the U-Haul Center by educating them on our products and services, answering questions, and preparing rental invoices. Once properly trained, Customer Service Representatives may also assist customers outside on the lot as well by installing trailer hitches and light wiring harnesses on customer's vehicles, ensuring vehicle fluid levels are properly filled, performing clean-up of trucks, trailers, and other rental items, and accepting equipment returned from rental.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Interact with our guests in a friendly, fast, courteous and efficient manner

  • Attention to detail in order to promote positive customer interactions

  • Hear and sense customer needs and keep your manager and fellow team members informed

  • Complete training and maintain knowledge by participating in on-line and hands on educational and training opportunities

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and the ability to maintain a good driving record to operate commercial motor vehicles

  • Adhere to all local state and federal vehicular regulations while driving

Education/Training:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts or machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing, or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching or similar activities, and lifting a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Software Configuration Analyst. This position is within our Technology Services Sector, located in Lanham, MD. We're a team of experienced professionals, collaborating to assist the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in achieving and exceeding it's technology goals. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Enterprise Automation Deployment (EAD) project team where he/she will interact with developers, testers and other IT professionals committed to the IRS mission and goals. General Configuration Analysts activities include: Develop and maintain software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products. Perform configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable. Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools using programming, database or scripting languages to improve software modeling and development. Design and implement build procedures that are used to support software product development and use. May develop software configuration standards for company-wide use. May train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards. Specific Roles and Responsibilities include: * Implement and conduct software configuration management (CM) and version control of multiple programs in IBM Mainframe, MS-Windows, and UNIX client/server environments. * Utilize ENDEVOR, ClearCase and established IRS-approved procedures and practices to process and stage transmittals. * Work with developers to troubleshoot and resolve software build issues in a timely manner. * Support the IRS tax administration pipeline. * Support Agile, DevOps and other IRS initiatives to improved processing efficiencies. Basic Qualifications: * Proficiency in the navigation and use of MS-Windows and familiarity with UNIX/Linux commands (College Coursework acceptable) * Familiarity with a Mainframe environment * Must be either a U.S. Citizen or possess a minimum 3 years of residency as a Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR) in the U.S. * Before beginning work, candidate must be able to obtain interim staff-like access based upon an IRS "Moderate-risk Background Investigation (MBI). Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a closely related discipline. * Understanding of software configuration management concepts, industry practices and standards. * Experience with IBM Rational/Jazz Platform * Basic scripting knowledge (Perl, PHP, PowerShell, etc.) * Knowledge of current IRS tax administration software applications. * Active MBI or higher-level clearance.
