U-Haul meet our customers' needs and demands. U-Haul's needs for Customer Service Representatives are significantly greater on evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Day to day duties of a Customer Service Representative:

As a Customer Service Representative you will interface with U-Haul customers to identify what they are looking for so that you can recommend the best moving supplies or storage solutions for their moving needs. A Customer Service Representative will assist customers inside the U-Haul Center by educating them on our products and services, answering questions, and preparing rental invoices. Once properly trained, Customer Service Representatives may also assist customers outside on the lot as well by installing trailer hitches and light wiring harnesses on customer's vehicles, ensuring vehicle fluid levels are properly filled, performing clean-up of trucks, trailers, and other rental items, and accepting equipment returned from rental.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Interact with our guests in a friendly, fast, courteous and efficient manner

  • Attention to detail in order to promote positive customer interactions

  • Hear and sense customer needs and keep your manager and fellow team members informed

  • Complete training and maintain knowledge by participating in on-line and hands on educational and training opportunities

We work collaboratively in Field Sales Teams and play a critical role in supporting our customer centric business model. The field professional services veterinarian is designed to support the technical needs of the sales regions and shelter group. In doing so, this individual will interact with our customer base on a technical level, giving presentations at various venues local and national, and train sales representatives on the use of technical data during sales calls. The professional services veterinarian will also coach sales reps on technical selling. The professional services veterinarian will also assist in the preparation of presentations, and serve in a technical capacity on marketing brand teams. Primary Responsibilities * Participate in technical "ride-withs" and "in-services" with the sales force (50%) * Serve as the region's technical expert, evaluating regional and individual technical training needs of the representatives and coaching sales reps in technical selling skills (15%) * Prepare and deliver technical lectures on our product line to the Veterinary Medical Association (VMA) and other professional veterinary organizations (10%) * Teach sales training classes to our sales representatives and distributor sales representatives (5%) * Report back to headquarters on new trends in veterinary medicine (5%) * Meet with key opinion leaders and veterinary school faculty to discuss potential new business opportunities (5%) * Represent our Company's Animal Health (AH) at Veterinary Schools, Professional Veterinary Associations and Conferences (5%) * Monitor Phase IV market support trials (5%) * Execute responsibilities with a high degree of independence * Assist Marketing Liaisons as needed with preparation of presentations and marketing communications – Occasional Education Minimum Requirements * Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree Required Experience and Skills * 5 years relevant work experience with minimum of 2 years of professional services experience.
