We are searching for a Histotechnologist for a full-time, day shift position.
Responsible for receiving, accessioning, and preparation of stained slides from tissue and biopsies submitted to Anatomic Pathology for review by a pathologist.
Also responsible for the preparation of frozen section specimens for review by a pathologist.
Assist Technical Manager by performing specific managerial/supervisory tasks. Provides technical guidance to Histotechnologist Is regarding abnormal and/or Critical patient results, quality control problems, and workload problems. Works under the supervision of the Technical Manager. Complies with the Memorial Health Compliance Program, related policies and procedures and the Code of Business Practices; reports instances of perceived and actual non-compliance to Team Leader or through other reporting mechanisms.

Bachelor's Degree required.

Special Skills Required
Training in all phases of histotechnology. Can distinguish colors, demonstrates independent judgment, demonstrates good communication and interpersonal skill, requires coordination and good manual dexterity skills, demonstrates initiative, possesses ability to work under stress, and demonstrates ability to organize.
