Histotechnologist 2, Histology Lab

Description Join our dynamic laboratory team as a Histotechnologist 2, where you will play a pivotal role in the preparation and analysis of tissues. Primary duties include:

Prepare tissues for frozen sectioning and cut high-quality sections of frozen tissues (1-3 microns) and paraffin-embedded tissues (at 2-4 microns). Perform tests involving immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and in situ hybridization. Execute H&E staining according to established protocols. Maintain workflow, adhere to turnaround time (TAT) deadlines, and manage quality control and other necessary logs.

Collaborate with faculty, residents, and grossing personnel to address and resolve issues related to worklists and other orders. Salary Range: $55.70/hour - $72.05/hour Qualifications HT or HTL (ASCP) certification. Minimum of 5 years of histology experience.

Flexibility to work overtime and holidays as needed. High school diploma or equivalent (e.g. HiSET or GED).
