Job Summary

• The Histology Technician performs standardized histotechnology procedures under supervision of the Pathologists.

Education and/or Experience

• Minimum of an associate degree from a regionally accredited college/university, with a combination of 12 semester hours of biology and chemistry is required.

• With completion of an approved Histology Technician Certification Program within 12 months of employment.

• Previous experience preferred, but not required.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Certification as a Histology Technician (HT) from the American Society Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification is required or must be received within 16 months of employment.

Work Schedule

• Day shift; Monday to Friday

• Rotate 5am to 1:30 pm and 7am to 3:30 pm

• 72 hours every 2 weeks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $23.25 - $34.00 per hour
