Responsibilities

WellStar Histology Lab has a great opportunity for an experienced Histologic Technologist who, under general supervision of the Histology/Cytology Manager and/or department leaders is responsible for the complete preparation of all routine surgicals, autopsy tissues including frozen section, send-out procedures, processing, cutting, staining and cover-slipping. The Histologic Technologist also performs cytology preparation, Histochemistry, immunohistochemistry, must possess general knowledge of techniques, principles, instrumentation and troubleshooting abilities.

Confirms and distribute completed surgical cases and reports, some clerical duties involving filing, retrieving tumor and consult requests, and have full knowledge of regulatory policies. This individual must have absolute integrity in the tasks performed and the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Required Minimum Education: HT (ASCP) certified or eligible.

Required Minimum Experience: One year of experience preferred.

Required Minimum Skills:
Histology training, Histochemistry, Immuno-histochemistry skills, Histology Safety Regulatory knowledge, Anatomical Pathology computer training

As an X-Ray Technologist you will perform quality diagnostic orthopedic X-Rays for the ordering providers; ensures patient safety and privacy while providing excellent customer service. Come join us! Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned) * Responsible for providing xrays ordered by the providers. * Responsible for quality xrays to include correct image, right or left markers, and patient ID. * Maintains proper use of xray equipment, CR and PACS. * Proper use of computer for Business purposes only. * Communicates with the xray supervisor or manager with any concerns or operational questions/problems. * Establishes a professional relationship with the physicians, co-workers and clinical staff. * Responsible for teaching xray students how to perform xrays, patient care, and workflow in the clinical xray setting. * Help clinical staff with PACS to include importing and exporting images. * Maintains EMR imaging tasks and medical records release form with patient requesting to pick up CDs. * Daily QC of all xrays taken. * Maintain ordering of xray supplies when necessary. * Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * Licensed Radiologic Technologist.
