VIEW JOBS 11/3/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-01T00:00 Canyon View Medical Group is seeking the services of a X-Ray and Lab Technician. This position involves taking pictures of the body while utilizing various imaging methods. They also perform phlebotomy utilizing proper laboratory procedures with minimal discomfort to the patient. They are responsible for ensuring the patient's safety during the procedures. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient; adjusting immobilization devices; moving equipment into specified position; adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors. 2. Maintains production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures; developing radiographs; observing radiographic results; making necessary adjustments. 3. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. 4. Minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors. 5. Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records. 6. Obtains and collects high quality specimens that are appropriate for the ordered laboratory tests. 7. Disinfects laboratory surfaces with daily cleaning. 8. Verifies and records identity of patient using appropriate patient identifiers. 9. Effectively interacts with patient to minimize the apprehension of the phlebotomy procedure. 10. Follows Joint Commission, CLSI, CLIA and OSHA regulations at all times. 11. All other assignments as requested. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 1. Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology. 2. Registered and certified as a Radiologic Technologists (RT), or a Radiology Practical Technician. 3. Licensed by the state of Utah as a Radiographer. 4.
