The Logistics Material Handler is responsible for r eceiving materials for the company and keeping an accurate inventory; supporting the production needs by retrieving and staging materials needed and proactively communicating procurement needs; and ensuring that the Customer packing requirements are met in a consistent and timely manner.
Primary Duties:Materials & Receiving :
Receives, inventories and labels incoming materials; and Pressroom supplies, UPS and FedEx packages, returned product, and equipment
Prepares and slits material to proper size as job order requires; correctly Puts bar codes on slit material Operates forklift Obtains material from stockand distributes received items to appropriate department Takes materials to presses as needed for job orderand obtainsunused material from presses; Puts bar codes on unused material and returns to stock Ensures materials are properly located and maintained following storage procedures Shipping:
Reviews job ticketsfor shipping requirements and special instructions Assures that job orders are properly packaged and boxed for shipping Documents the amount shipped and calculates total amount packaged Fills out quality checklist to assure labels are properly packaged and meet the Customer's requirements Assists with boxing orders, shrink wrapping, applying core protectors and/or core tags and preparing paperwork Processes packaging slips Communicates with appropriate Associates to verify information on job tickets prior to packaging job order; Provides information to Supervisor regarding non-conformance or incorrect job tickets General duties:
