Job Description

  5. Proficiency in SQL, PySpark for distributed computation, Experience in build tooling, Github, Git Workflow.

You should have depth and breadth of technical / functional/ domain know-how. You should be able to work independently on defining solution for a mid side, complex projects or contribute to solution of a program.

You are expected to specialize in a technology/domain/functional competency area. You should be able to prepare a road map for the competency/industry segment in form of competitive service offerings. You should get involved in practice reusable component inventory and knowledge management.

You are expected to represent the practice/domain in deal negotiations in the sales support cycle, or lead delivery issue resolutions when required. You should get involved in assignments in large programs, help in defining business and technological solutions which help customer design and implement new generation business processes and organization capabilities.

Role Overview We are looking for a highly motivated software engineer to work in a fast-paced, startup-like environment to build analytic solutions that advance the state-of-the-art in network defense. Our goal is to automatically detect and respond to a variety of threat actors and help predict what they might do next. You will use the latest big data platforms and technologies (e.g. AWS/GCP, Spark, Kafka, Flink, Docker, Kubernetes) to rapidly deploy new algorithms and applications on the next generation Secureworks platform and work with a seasoned, cross-functional team of software engineers, data scientists, and security experts. The ideal candidate will have a strong software development background with an emphasis on distributed systems and some familiarity with data science or machine learning, though personal expertise is not required. This role requires a software developer that can take ideas from concept to reality and work well within an entrepreneurial and collaborative environment. Responsibilities * Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software applications as secure, scalable, performant, and fault-tolerant solutions across a multi-cloud architecture. * Drive idea generation for new security applications and bring them to fruition. * Collaborate with data scientists and security researchers to productize new methods of extracting information from structured and unstructured data. * Work effectively on a geographically distributed team to deliver high quality software against aggressive schedules. Requirements * BS in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent experience. * 7+ years of relevant software development experience using object oriented and functional programming paradigms. * Proficiency with multiple programming languages including but not limited to: Scala, Python, Go. * Experience developing with containers/orchestrators (e.g. Docker, rkt, Kubernetes, Mesos) or big data platforms (e.g. Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc). * Excellence in technical communications with both technical and non technical peers. * Passionate about well-crafted code and a strong desire to learn. Preferred Qualifications * Experience with Amazon AWS, Google GCP, or similar cloud provider. * Experience with data lake/warehouse technologies (e.g. Athena, Redshift, BigQuery) or distributed NoSQL databases (e.g. Cassandra, HBase, Accumulo, DynamoDB, BigTable). * Experience with stream-processing systems, such as Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming, NiFi/StreamSets, or Storm/Heron. * Experience developing security- or analytically-focused applications. * Familiarity with data science techniques or machine learning. * Familiarity with packet captures, network flows, log data, malware analysis, etc. * Prior experience developing software in an entrepreneurial environment.
