  • Under general supervision of Director/Manager/Supervisor, following established policies, procedures and professional guidelines, performs health information activities necessary to organize, maintain and use electronic and paper patient health records.

  • Depending on area assigned, may specialize in one or more clerical functions including: maintenance of records in centralized location; indexing, scanning and validating; chart retrieval; reconciling medical record activity; qualitative/ quantitative physician documentation review; coding clerical support, transcription processing and interface; importing images of medical records from outside sources.

  • Accesses and updates electronic tracking systems. Answers telephones and assists with continuity of care requests for medical records.

  • Understands chart organization and content, TGH and external requirements related to chart documentation and privacy.

  • Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Education and Experience: High School Diploma or G.E.D. and eighteen (18) months of experience as an HIM Technician II at Tampa General Hospital; OR Associate or Bachelor degree in HIM with certification as RHIT/RHIA within three (3) months of hire.

Knowledge and competencies in Health Information Practices and Technologies, including medical terminology.

Applied analytical skills. Advanced problem-solving skills. Wide-range attention to detail.

Strong professional customer service and communication skills. Proficiency with basic computer programs and intermediate keyboarding skills. Detailed knowledge of medical record content and regulatory standards for documentation and privacy. Detailed, working knowledge of TGH HIM systems including but not limited to OnBase and Epic; OR general knowledge of Document Management Systems and Electronic Health Records with HIM degree.

Job Description: Cardno is seeking a Field Technician III in our Tampa, FL office. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: > Operates checks and performs complex field adjustments on all survey equipment > Performs and records complex survey measurements and computations including field note reduction > Uses, obtains and interprets control point records and locates in the field > Advanced comprehension and interpretation of site, boundary, highway and utility plans, profile and cross-sections, horizontal and vertical curves and contours > Assist Survey Field Technicians l and ll in Operating and overseeing land-information computer systems, performing tasks such as storing data, making inquiries, and producing plots and reports > Assist Survey Field Technicians l and ll in Performing calculations to determine earth curvature corrections, atmospheric impacts on measurements, traverse closures and adjustments, azimuths, level runs, and placement of markers > Oversees Survey Field Technicians I and II's and occasionally other III's in all daily crew activities Qualifications: > Five years' experience as a Survey crew member or a minimum of one as a Survey Field Tech II or a Bachelor's Degree in Surveying plus 6 months minimum as a Survey Field Tech III > NSPS-ACSM Certified Survey Technician II, III, or IV preferred > Must be able to design plans, using pen/paper/mouse, read maps and transcribe technical information from them into design, visit and assess work sites > Must be proficient in the use of total stations, data collection devices, GPS equipment and digital/automatic levels > CAD/MicroStation skills, strongly preferred > Knowledgeable of DOT standards and practices, including but not limited to control surveys, R/W monumentation surveys, and drainage surveys, required > Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a DOT medical card for CMV operation > Clear vision (at 20 inches or less), with or without corrective lenses.
