Collects patient documents from designated locations throughout the organization. Prepares medical records for accurate scanning into Meditech by removing unnecessary documents and ensuring that all documents contain patient identification.
Scans medical records into Meditech ensuring high image quality. Indexes medical documents into the correct document location in Meditech. Meets scanning productivity standards.
Meets scanning and indexing quality standards. Performs post scanning quality review. Maintains scanning equipment according to defined departmental procedures.
Accurately enters birth certificate data into Vital Statistics registry. Follows up on any information missing from the birth certificate worksheets. Interacts appropriately with all co-workers and external customers.
Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate and equivalent secondary education skills.
Demonstrate knowledge or experience with medical record departmental practices, computer use, and HIM functions and filing systems. Medical Terminology needed. Demonstrated knowledge of chart forms, uses and accurate verification of patient identification.
