PURPOSE OF YOUR POSITION Analyze and assemble discharge medical records and scan the remaining paper records or archival storage. Monitor and ensure completion of open medical record requirements. Maintain the master patient index by researching and merging incorrectly assigned medical record numbers. Following HIPAA and state guidelines releases patient information in response to third party and patient requests. Register daily encounters into the ambulatory electronic health record (Touchworks) to create a task list for the professional fee coding team. Accurately transcribes reports that have been dictated by providers in a timely manner. GENERAL INFORMATION Position supports the health information services mission and patient care by ensuring medical records are prepared properly, analyzed and updated as needed to ensure they are complete; additionally position develops and maintains tracking records/files for future retrieval and/or reference as needed or requested from internal or external sources within all legal requirements; ensures any release of records are within HIPAA, State and ECH requirements; additionally transcribes reports as required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Work is generally light and frequently requires prolonged sitting (more than 80% of work time). Work may require occasional lifting of files and other materials up to 15 lbs. May be required to stoop, kneel, crouch or climb small ladders to access files (6-20% of work time). Visual acuity required to read written and printed materials. Manual dexterity required to use various office equipment. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS Generally good working conditions with some discomfort due to noise, crowded conditions and frequent interruptions (more than 80% of work time). Universal Precautions may apply. QUALIFICATIONS Requires an associate degree in Health Information Technology or equivalent; OR 3 years experience working in health information management of a hospital or in a multi-provider clinic setting. Additional prior experience in medical records is preferred and also requires three to six months on-the-job training to become familiar with hospital and departmental procedures. Requires keyboarding skills for transcription as well as for the computer based support of the medical record storage, maintenance and retrieval. Requires ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team. Pennsylvania state police criminal record check, child abuse history clearance and an FBI criminal history check required. Work requires intermediate to advanced computer literacy skills to be able to operate in several applications at once and manipulate files. Knowledge of hospital information systems preferred. Required to utilize online medical records to scan and send records for release to other hospitals or physician offices. Must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and email. Must be able to utilize electronic calendar to schedule meetings. Work requires advanced interpersonal skills to exchange information with physicians and other clinical staff and work collaboratively as a team. A high level of social sensitivity is required when communicating with patients to complete medical record copies requests (21-50% of work time). Work requires analytical ability to efficiently retrieve and compile medical records. Independent judgment is frequently required (21-50% of work time). Work requires a high level of mental and visual focus requiring concentration and attention to detail. Must possess organization and multitasking skills to manage distractions and complete tasks in fast-paced environment. Work is very frequently performed under tight deadlines (51-80% of work time).

This position is responsible for supporting the sales efforts at a Sherwin-Williams paint store, servicing wholesale and retail customers. It will assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services. This involves ensuring that sales transactions are completed accurately, maintaining accurate work order files and formulas, pulling appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse, and tinting and mixing them to customer specifications. This position will also assist in sourcing products required by customers that are not available in the store and, upon approval, place order and follow up as necessary. Opening and closing the store, making bank deposits, stocking shelves and setting up displays, cleaning store equipment, and loading and unloading trucks are also responsibilities of the position. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: * Must be at least 18 years of age. * Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status. * Must be willing to work all scheduled hours and required overtime, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation. * Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. * Must be able to operate material handling equipment (e.g. hand truck, pallet jack, forklift, etc.). * Must be able to tint paint, therefore, must be able to distinguish the difference between colors. * Must be able to operate a computer and communicate via the telephone. * High school diploma or comparable certification (e.g. GED).
