Job Summary

Receives and processes requests for medical records according to HIPAA guidelines and privacy standards, and GHS policy for release of protected health information. Serves as GHS customer service representative, assisting patients, healthcare providers, patient accounts, other GHS departments, and third party requesters with requests for medical information.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.

Minimum Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum Experience

Two years' experience in Health Information Management or related Epic credential

Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses


Specific Acceptable Credentials (if applicable)

Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) through AHIMA -Preferred

In lieu of the Above Minimum Requirements

Associate's Degree in Health Information Management

Other Required Experience

Basic Medical Terminology

VIEW JOBS 11/20/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-18T00:00 <p>HRP Associates, Inc. is currently seeking an Industrial Hygienist/Safety Specialist in our Greenville, SC location to support the growth of our Safety Compliance Team; specifically in the areas of industrial hygiene and OSHA compliance programs. </p><p>Essential Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Industrial hygiene testing including chemical, physical, and biological stressors</li> <li>Qualitative exposure assessments based on various risk assessment strategies</li> <li>Ergonomic assessments</li> <li>Ventilation performance evaluations (chemical fume hoods and local exhaust ventilation)</li> <li>Report preparation </li> <li>Interaction with clients and various regulatory agencies</li> <li>Ideal candidate will have the desire to work towards Certified Industrial Hygienist or other related professional certification in the field of IH</li> </ul><p><br></p><p>Other Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Development of safety program elements under OSHA General Industry</li> <li>Technical field assessments under Confined Space, Elevated Work, LOTO, and Machine Guarding</li> <li>Development and presentation of Compliance training </li> <li>Auditing health and safety programs</li> </ul><p><br></p> <p>Although primary responsibilities included those listed above, position also offers the opportunity to cross train with a variety of other professional service teams operating out of the South Carolina office.
