This position is responsible for the daily preparation, scanning, and indexing/verification of medical records and charts in a timely manner.
High school graduate or GED; Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management (HIM) preferred
1 year experience in healthcare field
Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) preferred
Retrieves and reconciles all discharge records and loose/miscellaneous documents.
Responsible for prepping and scanning of medical records accurately and timely into the electronic medical record system.
Research and correct errors made in the processing function by manually indexing documents and managing image quality.
Provide excellent customer service and maintains the integrity of the medical record per privacy and confidentiality rules.
