Hills on Stage
Work closely with producers, administration and staff to select, design, rehearse and produce a 5th grade district-wide musical production on the High School East stage. Auditions begin at the end of September and the performances are slated for the first week of February. Rehearsals are scheduled for every Friday after school and Saturday mornings from the first week of October through the end of January. There are also additional rehearsals as needed, as well as several parent meetings. Preparation for the next season begins immediately following the production and the director is responsible for ordering perusal material from MTI and selecting the show for the next year. Participation in additional performances of selections from the show at Unity Fair and other community events are also expected. Musical theater directing experience is mandatory, particularly with young children.

Hills on Stage
Work closely with director and staff to keep the rehearsals running smoothly. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills, be self-motivated, efficient and creative. Must participate in all production meetings and meet with the director to discuss responsibilities and duties for the show. Must attend all auditions, rehearsals, and call backs. The assistant director will act as the stage manager for all performances and is responsible for selecting, coordinating and directing the stage crew. Prior experience in musical theatre is mandatory, particularly with young children.

Work closely with director and staff to teach all choral parts and vocal solos for a 5th grade district-wide musical production on the High School East stage. Auditions begin at the end of September and the performances are slated for the beginning of February. Rehearsals are scheduled for every Friday after school and Saturday mornings from the first week of October through the first week of February, with additional rehearsals as needed. Musical theater vocal experience and proficient piano skills are mandatory.

Work closely with director and staff to create original choreography for a 5th grade district-wide musical production on the High School East stage. The choreographer is also responsible to teach all aspects of the dance routines to the students. Auditions begin at the end of September and the performances are slated for the beginning of February. Rehearsals are scheduled for every Friday after school and Saturday mornings from the first week of October through the end of January. Musical theater choreography experience is mandatory, particularly with young children.

Hills on Stage
Be present at every rehearsal to supervise the arrival of 80+ students, take attendance, and assist the Program Facilitator with the coordination of audition/rehearsal groups. The chaperone must also be available throughout the rehearsal to assist with transitions between rehearsal activities and to support order and decorum among students. When students have waiting time offstage, the chaperone is responsible for keeping students engaged in relevant activities as directed by the Program Facilitator. The chaperone will also oversee the dismissal of students to ensure every student leaves with a parent/guardian.

Hills on Stage Program Facilitator
Report directly to the office of the Director of Fine Arts and work closely with the show's directors and staff to supervise, coordinate, and administer all aspects of the program to include but not be limited to:
Schedule and facilitate producer and staff meetings throughout the school year as needed
Schedule and facilitate monthly parent meetings throughout the production schedule
Prepare student lists for CO clerical to arrange busing from each elementary building
Prepare detailed calendar with building needs for CO clerical to enter on building calendar
Maintain databases necessary to create attendance sheets, cast lists, bus lists, etc.
Communicate regularly with elementary school administration in regard to weekly busing, rehearsal schedule updates, mailings and publicity
Coordinate and schedule all auditions, rehearsals and performances throughout the production schedule
Maintain the relevant district website pages for Hills on Stage to include rehearsal schedules, publicity information, photos and cast/parent announcements
Oversee the program's budget and maintain accurate spreadsheets to include all revenue and disbursements
Oversee ticketing (online with ShowTix)
Oversee and maintain records for all ticket sales, journal ads and participation fees
Notify Central Office of any rental supplies and equipment necessary such as sound systems, lighting systems, backdrops, scenery, costumes, etc.
Communicate with all participating families as necessary utilizing current technology
Workclosely with parent committee chair people, producers and support staff to insure a successful production and worthwhile experience for each child and parent involved in the show.
Provide committee chair people with all information and guidance for them to effectively run their committees
