Hilliard Food Pantry+'s (HFP+) mission is straightforward: to improve the well-being of our community by providing food and support. For over six decades, HFP+ has served the Hilliard and surrounding area as an efficient, small-scale operation, assisting those with limited resources.

We recognize that hunger is an ongoing issue, even in suburban areas. Presently, we provide food to over 13,000 individuals annually, offer utility assistance, and provide holiday resources. Embracing the "plus" in our name, we are expanding our services to introduce the Share Closet program.

Our VISTA worker will play a pivotal role in establishing this new initiative and will be instrumental in shaping our organization's future by contributing to the development of systems and programs that align with our goals. Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.

Member Duties : As our VISTA member, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our efficient distribution of food. This will involve defining and implementing strategies for recruiting, training, and equipping high-quality volunteers who are essential to the Hilliard Food Pantry+'s operation.

Additionally, you will actively work to secure donations of cash, food, and hygiene products for distribution through the pantry. Furthermore, your responsibilities will extend to identifying educational resources aimed at empowering pantry members with knowledge about nutrition, meal preparation, and effective budget management. All these efforts will be geared towards improving community food security, strengthening economic stability, and facilitating knowledge acquisition.
