HIL - Tyler Water Plant - Facility Maintenance Tech I - Painter

The Maintenance Tech I - Facility Maintenance Person shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Perform painting operations on industrial equipment, piping, and structures as directed

• Performs minor repairs to building and equipment.

• Assists with the renovation/remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall; paints building structures.

• Performs minor plumbing repairs (ex: lavatory repair).

• Performs minor electrical repairs (ex: light fixture and ballast replacement).

• May assist with preventative maintenance on all equipment as needed

• May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed.

• Must be able to work with computers: email and Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS).

• Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions.

• Must keep work area safe and clean and work in a safe and efficient manner.

• Must be able to work in both very hot (more than 100 degrees) and very cold (20 degrees below zero) and in a very wet and humid environment for extended periods of time. Must be able to work inside or outside.

• Must be able to bend, crawl, climb, squat, and work on times both above the head and at ground level during repair and maintenance operations.

• The employee will be required to use all personal protective equipment provided by the company in compliance with OSHA regulations.

• Must be able to pass all medical exams, drug and background checks
