Working with other team members, you will utilize your skills to support and lead design teams on transportation planning, design and construction reviews in connection with a wide range of multi-disciplined projects. In this position you will be exposed to a wide-range of projects involving safety studies, multi-modal roadway planning, highway design, transit design, site civil design, design review and construction oversight.
This position requires a technical design background in highway design and transportation engineering with additional experience in site civil design a plus. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with 0 to 3 years of related experience in preparing preliminary design, final design plans, specifications, and cost estimates along with a BSCE. EIT certification is preferred. Knowledge of and experience using CADD/Design Software (AutoCAD, Civil3D) is a must. Our ideal candidate is positive, and self-starter.
Perform engineering design tasks for roadway and site civil projects from conceptual design to final design.
Develop specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packages
Have working knowledge of roadway design software tools
Have a positive team-oriented attitude
Assist in the coordination of design activities between staff, subcontractors, and clients
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required
Engineer in Training (EIT) certification required or ability to obtain within one year
0 to 3 years design experience required
Strong technical design background in highway design and transportation engineering
Knowledge of and experience using CADD/Design Software
