ODOT District 12 will be accepting applications for our Highway Technician 1 positions in our Geauga County Location. You must have your Class "A" or Class "B" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to be considered for this position.

What You Will Do
The successful candidate will must maintain CDL Class A or Class B CDL along with tanker endorsement. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Operate Basic Equipment (such as but not limited to Loader, Chipper, Skid Steer, Mowers, Chainsaw)
Perform general Highway Maintenance duties.
Performs Snow and Ice control duties.
Perform Emergency Response, clean up and perform traffic control duties in a work zone or around an accident site.
Perform minor repairs & Maintenance on equipment.
Perform Miscellaneous labor and bookkeeping task, operates two-way radios.
Responds to general inquiries from the public.
This job may require overtime for emergency or planned maintenance operations.

Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & decimals, percentages & fractions; ability to read, write & speak common English vocabulary; 3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in operation of basic equipment.
