We are currently seeking a Highway Project Engineer to join our growing Transportation Group in our Norwell, MA or our Boston, MA office.
The primary duties will be to lead highway design projects.
Overseeing junior-level staff in the preparation of calculations, plans, specifications, cost estimates, technical reports, and public presentations.
Demonstrates a strong ability to work and/or lead in a team environment.
Ensure QA/QC procedures and understands basic business practices and laws related to engineering.
Leads entrylevel staff effectively and ensures high technical quality of the team's deliverable.
Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates detailed phases of a project.
Develop work plans to coincide milestones of a project and when revisions of work plan need to be addressed.
Selects procedures and checks complete reports and calculations.
May assist or involved in the technical scope proposal development.
Allocates billable time to projects.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
5 + years of relevant highway design experience.
Proficiency with MS Office and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Knowledge of MassDOT transportation standards, procedures, and specifications preferred.
P.E. license required.
Good verbal and written communications skills with a strong ability to work in a team environment.
Exhibits a willingness to provide assistance to senior level engineers and project managers.
Participation in a professional organization is preferred.
