Dewberry's Bloomfield, NJ office is currently seeking a Highway Engineer Intern for our Highway Engineering Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented individual to be part of a project team and be part of the design of roadways systems following AASHTO, State and municipal design standards.
Responsibilities include design and preparation of contract documents for roadway improvement projects for various clients including the NJDOT, NJ Turnpike Authority, counties, and various other public and private sector clients.
Required Skills & Required Experience
Pursuing BS in Civil Engineering
Prior engineering internship or summer work experience preferred
Familiarity with NJDOT and NJTA design standards and practices
Familiarity with AASHTO and MUTCD
Proficiency in MS Office software, AutoCAD and/or Microstation
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in team environment
