Highway Design Engineer

Description:

• We are working with an engineering consulting firm seeking a Highway Design Engineer to sit out of their office in New Castle, DE. The successful candidate is expected to perform engineering tasks in the transportation and highway engineering field through application of relevant design criteria, standards and processes. The candidate will be expected to work on multiple design projects and assist in the preparation of engineering documents for construction. The first year will mainly consist of private projects, as well as some projects for the DOT.

Qualifications:

• At least 1+ year of design experience in the highway transportation field.

• BSCE from ABET accredited engineering program.

• EIT or PE preferred.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.

• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, MicroStation and Inroads or Geopak desired.
