Schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9am

• 2pm

Salary: $7,000 - $8,500* (final compensation will be dependent on the allocated budget)

Job Description:

Northside Charter High School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Summer Science Teacher to join our team for the summer school session. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching science and a commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals during the summer term.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging and interactive science lessons that align with the curriculum and meet the diverse needs of students.

• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for learning.

• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.

• Collaborate with other summer school staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive educational experience for all students.

• Maintain accurate and timely records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports.

• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

• Valid teaching certification or license in the state.

• Previous experience teaching science at the high school level.

• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
