Reports to the academic or vocational office upon arrival to receive daily assignment by 7:40 AM and remain in school building until 2:20 PM
Follow absent teacher's lesson plans and class expectations outlined in the substitute folder
Assist with all aspects of the daily routine, including distributing and collecting supplies and keeping attendance records
Create and maintain a positive learning environment in classroom
Supervise students to ensure their safety and welfare
Reports any student related injury, accident, illness, discipline problem immediately to the lead teacher
Keep a daily log about the progress of the day and leave it for the regular teacher
Clean teaching area at the end of the day-put all the equipment and materials away
Adheres to all Blue Hills Regional Technical Schools policies and procedures
Uses appropriate judgment to act in the best interest of students at all times
Maintains appropriate dress and a professional appearance
Maintain confidentiality at all times in the classroom, school and community
Performs other duties as assigned by the administrator
