Job Description:

Join Westland School as a High School Teacher and inspire students to reach their full potential in science and math. We are seeking a dedicated educator who is passionate about fostering a positive learning environment and helping students succeed.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with HMH curriculum

• Provide instruction in various subjects, including Physics, Biology, Geometry, and Chemistry

• Utilize effective teaching strategies to support diverse learning styles

• Manage classroom behavior and create a respectful and inclusive atmosphere

• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience for students

• Adhere to student accommodations listed in IEP/504 plans

• Update grade book on consistent basis

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or Bachelor's degree in the subject matter field

• Proven experience working with high school students

• Strong organizational skills

• Familiarity with learning technology tools

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
