HIGH SCHOOL RECEPTIONIST/TELEPHONE OPERATOR
The position is the primary liaison between High School administration, faculty, staff, students, and parents. The candidate is required to maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance.
Coordinates and schedules substitutes for teachers. Maintains staff leave calendar. Previous customer service and working as a team experience is required. Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task while working effectively and prioritizing supporting all team members.
STARTING DATE: August 1, 2024
SALARY: Appropriate placement per the Classified Employee Salary Schedule will be commensurate with experience and education.
REPORTS TO: Principal or Designee

WORK-WEEK/YEAR: Up to 40 hours a week ~ 204 days a year (10 months)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma.
Microsoft Office experience, frequently using Word and Excel. Supports a strong commitment to customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive experience for all. Answers and directs incoming phone calls in a prompt, friendly, and outgoing manner.
Coordinates and schedules substitutes for teachers. Maintains absentee calendar of staff. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proven capability to prepare correspondence to all stakeholders. Ability to operate various office machines. A motivated self-starter with strong time-management abilities.
Able to work quickly and independently, handling multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines. Demonstrated ability to problem-solve. Professional tact, diplomacy, and presentation with staff and stakeholders.
Record of excellent attendance. Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with administrators, staff, students, parents, associates, vendors, and community members.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: General knowledge of the functions and activities of the public school system. Experience working with high school students.
