Job Description:
The High School Project Director is part of the Massachusetts Inclusive Concurrent Enrollment Initiative (MAICEI) that allows higher education for individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism. The High School Project Director acts as the liaison between Fitchburg Public Schools and Fitchburg State University, while collaborating with the FSU team (primarily the Project Director and the Program Coordinator) and other faculty as needed.
MAICEI provides dual-enrollment opportunities for students ages 18-21 that have intellectual disabilities and are still receiving special education services through their school districts. MAICEI students enroll in courses alongside traditional day students at Fitchburg State College.
The High School Project Director supports the Program Coordinator through the development and implementation process of the MAICEI program, while assisting in the facilitation between the HS and FSU. Responsibilities include the following:
Communicate with Program Coordinator
Develop familiarity with courses and their requirements offered at Fitchburg State University in order to articulate options to the Leadership Team.
Assist with the coordination of student participation
Assist with email and correspondence, process forms
Complete other tasks assigned.
Requirements:
Master's degree required.
Must be able to satisfactorily pass a check conducted by the Criminal History Systems Board (CORI check) and a SORI.
Additional Information:
Shift Information: This is a part time non-benefited grant funded position. The grant expires on August 31, 2024. $60 per hour.
