Schedule: 7:45AM-3:45PM

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements both group and individual lesson plans for daily, quarter, semester, and year-long periods planning instructional experiences for students in accordance with established curriculum.

  • Maintains accurate and complete records as required by laws, policies, and regulations.

  • Instructs students utilizing a variety of classroom methods, adapting methodology and instructional materials to meet student needs, abilities, and IEPs.

  • Assigns and grades class work and homework; prepares, administers, and grades tests.

  • Establishes and implements behavioral protocols; observes and evaluates student behavior, performance, social development, and physical health.

  • Supports school-related extracurricular activities.

  • Maintains positive professional communications with parents, guardians, administration, and colleagues regarding progress and concerns.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited school, preferably in Special Education

  • A current Nebraska Teaching Certificate (or ability to obtain one per Rule 21) endorsed in appropriate subject is required; Special Education endorsement preferred.

  • Properly endorsed and certificated

  • Previous classroom teaching experience in the field preferred

  • Knowledge of state policies, statutes, and procedures on education and regulations of Nebraska.

This position must be very familiar with Creighton University and the programs and pathways in SPAHP, including a robust understanding of the culture and history of SPAHP, as well as the benefits of enrolling in the Pharmacy, PT or OT program. The individual in this position must also be able to establish long term relationships with feeder institutions, prospective students, and their support people (parents, significant others, and advisors). Essential Duties and Functions: * 40%, Develop and be fiscally responsible for a recruitment program that will successfully achieve a quality, culturally diverse student body to support and promote high academic achievement for classes in the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions. Utilize a data driven process and metrics; making analytics a priority to guide/make decisions regarding the recruitment of students. Have the knowledge and understanding of today's HE contemporary admission and recruitment strategies. Work directly with the Office of Academic and Student Affairs to establish the continuity of student progression from applicant to enrolled student. * 15% Work closely with the faculty in 3 academic programs and each faculty admission committees to develop and implement admission policies and drive admission practices to effectively to meet enrollment goals. Regularly communicate with faculty, staff, and administration the goals, activities, and progress made as it relates to admission and recruitment. * 15% Responsible for oversight of all Creighton affiliated campuses and programs. Direct collaboration with EDGE, enrollment management and the undergraduate admission staff. Determine appropriate recruiting trips, establish relationships with pre-professional clubs, and on campus visits. Correspond and cultivate the relationships throughout the year with pre-professional advisors and students. Meet with and recruit prospective students for the professional programs of the school. * 15% Lead the development of recruitment materials to collaborate and provide input on print and online, for promotion of programs and develop an effective distribution plan. Work closely with the school's assigned marketing strategist to establish strategic marketing campaigns. * 10% Supervise staff and work closely with the implementation and maintenance of information systems that best track and promote SPAHP applicants and programs. Delegate appropriately with the admission staff to related strategies and tactics. * 5% Other special projects and assignments as directed by the Student Affairs Dean or the Dean of the school to promote the school to outside constituents.
