Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge and skills required to perform this job successfully.
High school graduate or equivalent with demonstrated successful experience in an administrative capacity or comparable experience. Associates degree preferred.
Possess a thorough knowledge of and familiarity with office technology, equipment, and software (Google, Word, Excel, Publisher & PowerPoint). Familiarity with school based data systems and operations software (Powerschool & Munis) a plus.
Ability to organize and maintain accurate hard copy and electronic filing and data systems.
Good communication and language skills.
Able to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in an interrupt driven environment.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students, parents, and the general public. Willingness to help others.
Uphold highest level of confidentiality.
Responsible To: Office Manager
Representation Status: Acton Boxborough Office Support Association (ABOSA)
Primary Functions: Provide main office support to the administration, faculty, staff and students as well as the general public.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Oversees main office reception area and functions: direct all incoming telephone calls, provide directions and information to visitors, staff/faculty, students, operation of Public Announcement system, maintain staff mailboxes, maintain phone lists and conference room scheduling.
Compile and maintain official record of daily student attendance in PowerSchool. Process daily attendance: absences, tardies, dismissals, and parent notification of unexcused absences.
Manage daily student newsletter and help with weekly staff communication website
Assist with overflow work and special projects from Office Manager and Administration.
Maintain and update CORI requests for high school employees.
Support annual school events including Back-To-School Night, Awards Night, Scholarship Night, Graduation, and Faculty Events.
Manage substitute check-in for high school
Manage student grade changes and work permit requests
Support faculty with special FSC (Faculty Support Center) including copier machine management, postage meter upkeep, paper ordering, and supply management.
