High School Girls Volleyball Coaches Needed for 2024-25 Fall Season

The College Preparatory School, a private high school in North Oakland, seeks Girls F/S Head

and Assistant Coach for the fall 2024-25 season. We seek dynamic candidates to help build on an

established and successful program. Coaching candidates focused on coaching volleyball and

teaching lifelong values of sportsmanship, integrity, commitment, personal responsibility,

teamwork, and self-discipline. The 2024-25 season runs from Aug. 12 to Oct. 18.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

● Providing instruction, mentoring, and coaching on the necessary skills, techniques, and

competitive strategies of volleyball

● Working cooperatively and professionally with all school staff

● Attending all department meetings

● Presenting a positive image to the student-athletes and the campus community by maintaining

appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics

Qualifications:

● Knowledgeable of the fundamentals and advanced techniques of volleyball

● Ideally, the candidate has a strong background in the fundamentals of volleyball

● Be able to teach, be a positive role model, and provide direction to players of all skill levels,

from the beginning player to the advanced player

● Applicants must have experience in coaching at the high school or college level

● Positive and professional attitude

● Flexible afternoon and evening schedules

● Valid California driver's license

● CPR and first-aid training preferred (or willingness to gain proficiency)

Salary: $20-$25/hour
