High School English Language Arts Teacher

Missisquoi Valley Union Middle/High School is in search of an English Language Arts teacher to serve our High School students.

The successful candidate will be able to effectively manage classroom teaching and learning time by maximizing student engagement and motivating students to achieve at their highest potential. The successful candidate will use the Common Core to design grade-level learning targets. The candidate will also design and study formative assessments to improve instructional effectiveness.

This position offers opportunities for curriculum design and pedagogical support from a data team partner and an instructional coach.

MVU is located in the northwestern corner of Vermont bordering Lake Champlain on its west and Quebec Province in Canada on its north. Interstate 89, Vermont Route 78, and U.S.

Route 7 are the major transportation routes through the town. Right off Interstate 89, MVU is 15 minutes from St. Albans, 40 minutes from Burlington, and just over an hour from Montreal.
