High School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher (Temporary, 1 Year Position)

Reports To: Danvers High School Principal Danvers Public Schools seeks a One Year, Long Term Substitute for the 2024-2025 school year. This is a full-time position. Must have proper certification. Job Description:

• The ELA teacher will guide and support students in developing competencies in the structure of ELA by implementing the District approved curriculum

• Evaluate each student's progress in ELA knowledge and skills

• Make ELA content accessible to diverse learners and promote learning for all students

• Prepares teaching materials and related reports to implement lesson plans and document student progress

• Provides structure in the classroom by promoting a positive classroom environment that is conducive to learning

• Works under the general supervision of the building principal and/or other designated administrator, manages student behavior, assesses and evaluates student achievement

• Partner with families and colleagues to make decisions in the best interest of students and learning
