High School Counselor

Beatrice High School is seeking a certified school counselor to for the 2025-2026 school year. Beatrice High School staffs two school counselors for approximately 650 total students. The ideal candidate will collaborate with students, staff, and families to foster a positive school climate, focused on supporting the academic, social-emotional, and career and college readiness development needs of our students.

Qualifications:

• Must hold or be eligible for a Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) School Counselor Certificate (PreK-12 or 7-12 endorsement).
• Strong knowledge of social-emotional learning, career and college readiness, and academic planning.
• Experience with 504 plans, special education collaboration, and crisis response preferred.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
