The High School College and Career Coordinator is tasked with developing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive PreK-12 college and career readiness curriculum. This role involves close collaboration with the School Counseling Department, Leadership Team, Special Education and ELL Departments, and external stakeholders to ensure equitable access and success for all students in post-secondary education and career pathways. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Program Development
Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of a structured PreK-12 college and career readiness/awareness curriculum in collaboration with the School Counseling Department and Building Leadership.
Design and coordinate experiences for elementary, middle, and high school students that enhance their understanding of the high school choice process, college fit, financial literacy, and career planning.
Collaboration and Professional Development
Collaborate with the Leadership Team, Special Education, and ELL Departments to develop professional development (PD) opportunities and establish college and career readiness outcome measures of success PreK-12.
Work with the school counseling team, administrators, faculty, staff, students, and parents to implement formal and informal events and activities that foster a college and career school culture.
Stakeholder Engagement
Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with parents and the community to support district goals and program objectives.
Hosting FAFSA nights, signing events, etc... for stakeholder support/engagement
Establish strong partnerships with local colleges and universities to increase early college models in the district and dual enrollment opportunities for equitable access to student opportunities.
Student Support and Equity
Collaborate with the School Counseling Department to support students in meeting their college and career plans, with a focus on promoting access for underrepresented students in high-earning fields and postsecondary institutions.
Eliminate barriers to access and equity in rigorous college and career opportunities for all students.
Collecting data on access barriers, attendance, financial literacy etc.. to measure and set baseline and future BM data points.
Ensure equity in policies and procedures that impact students and support the implementation of college and career readiness programming at all levels.
Testing and Funding Management
Collaborate with the Coordinator of School Counseling for the administration of College Board testing (PSAT/NMSQT, SAT, AP).
Actively seek and manage multiple funding resources and grants to support college and career readiness initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in educational counseling, career services, or a related field. Experience in a high school setting is highly desirable. Relevant certifications in career counseling or college admissions counseling are preferred. Skills:

Familiarity with financial aid processes and resources
WORKING CONDITIONS This role is primarily based in a high school setting, with occasional travel for college visits, professional development, and community outreach. Full-time, typically during school hours, with some evening and weekend events required.
