FirstService Residential is currently seeking a full time Concierge in for a luxury high rise in downtown Boston, MA

Primary Responsibilities:
Provide white glove level customer service and support to residents and guests in a luxury high rise condominium. Proactively enforce building access control and exit/entry. Work together with building management to increase resident experience and satisfaction.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Greet and open the doors (when applicable) for residents, tenants and guests.

  • Respond to all requests in a courteous, professional manner at all times

  • Answer the front desk phone.

  • Arrange for car/limo services when requested.

  • Assist with restaurant menus, reviews, recommendation and reservations.

  • Provide directions for parks, restaurants, airports, etc.

  • Maintain control of all keys, including the logging of keys in and out.

  • Announce all visitors to the clients and tenants. Keep all visitors at the front desk until. permission is received from the unit resident/tenant. Exhibit a positive and professional attitude. Be kind and helpful to everyone.

  • Escort/assist tenants to and from cars, lobby areas, etc.

  • Proactively assist with packages and groceries.

  • Provide additional level of security for the complex.

  • Assist with dry cleaning.

  • Take resident requests for maintenance services and complete the required documentation.

  • Prevent unauthorized written and verbal solicitations throughout the building.

  • Take control of the lobby and monitor cameras and entranceway.

  • Maintain a clean and pleasant environment.

  • Secure all packages, deliveries, and other appropriate items at the designated area.

  • Monitor use and return of carts. Keep appropriate records in the logbook.

  • Log in all contractors. Notify superintendent of any contractors or repairmen in the building

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalency preferred.

  • Two (2) years of customer service experience preferred.

  • Demonstrates working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required

  • Valid Drivers license required, at some locations

FirstService Residential is currently seeking a part time time porter for weekend shifts at a luxury high rise in Downtown Boston, MA Primary Responsibilities: Provide white glove level assistance and customer service for residents and guests. Additional Responsibilities: * Assist residents with luggage, transportation requirements, deliveries, parcels, wine deliveries, groceries, etc. * Assist homeowners transporting items to and from private storage if requested * Assist in Residential Lobby service - answer telephones at the residences concierge desk, deliver messages, packages, faxes, newspapers, letters, etc. to condominiums * Perform any special projects deemed necessary by concierge or GM * Handle all Owner interaction with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special request whenever possible; assist in all enquiries in connection with the Residence services and facilities * The ability to communicate residence requests effectively to the Concierge to ensure prompt completion of tasks. * Relieve other residential roles for meal periods and in case of emergency Skill Requirements: * Previous custodial experience preferred. * High school diploma or equivalency preferred. * Effective written and verbal communication skills. * Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required. Special Requirements: * Ability to lift 50 lbs following appropriate safety procedures; * Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time; * Crawl in small and tight spaces; Ability to work in different environmental working conditions (e.g. heat, cold, wind, rain); * Walk and climb stairs; Handle, finger, grasp and feel objects and equipment; * Reach with hands and arms; * Ability quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions; * Repeat various motions with the wrists, hands and fingers; * Complete all required forms. * Ability to respond to emergencies on a timely manner. * Climb ladders and work at heights above ground level (maximum 3 ft).
