The VISTA Leaders will: 1. Create professional development opportunities for the VISTA team that align with their personal and professional goals. 2.

Collaborate with VISTAs and community partners to ensure project success. 3. Collect and analyze VISTA Project assessment data. 4. Communicate (written, verbal, social media) the work of the VISTA program and its impact on High Point. 5.

Organize the MLK Day of Service at HPU, drawing on all the other VISTAs' work and placements to develop projects. The VISTA Leaders need skills like strong sense of collaboration, detail oriented, project management, public speaking, empathy, able to motivate others, program evaluation and assessment. Member Duties : The VISTA Leaders for this project will get to be part of numerous exciting projects across the city. The Leaders will advise, support, problem-solve, and celebrate with VISTA team leaders as they tackle difficult challenges.

After finishing the project year, the VISTA Leaders will be well prepared for the job market. They will have clear "wins," tangible examples of their leadership, and strong references who are ready to speak to the impact they have made. This project is perfect for someone wanting to get involved in project management, education, education policy, a health field, community development, non-profit management, public administration, business administration, or communications.
