a. Must meet 8570 IAT Level 1 - CompTia Security+
Provide Desktop and End User Support services
Provide customer assistance to DCoE users of all workstation software systems on a 24x7 basis, three hundred and sixty-five (365) days per year.
Provide help too users resolving software and hardware problems that cannot be resolved remotely. Provide Desk side Support in the following categories: software, hardware, administrative, and special projects as approved by the government. Additionally, the maintain workstation baselines, as mandated by DoD policies and directives through established processes and procedures that include potential risk reviews.
Provide Systems Build and Desktop imaging services. Hardware Engineers performing Systems Build and Desktop imaging services will be certified with current IT certifications for their computing environment in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M. In performance of these services, the Hardware Engineer shall:
Installation, configuration and installation of authorized hardware. Responsible for equipment hot-staging, burn-in, installation, and testing. This shall include setting up and performing systems and integration testing for all equipment purchased by, or approved, for the network.
Implement a plan for the refresh of workstations and laptops in the environment to standardize the OS and ensure the image is updated per current DoD guidelines.
Configure or reconfigure approximately ninety (90) workstations and over fifty (50) laptops each month. Additionally, each month approximately five (5) office moves are completed.
Provide equipment repair services on site to include service for drop off of equipment for configuration or repair.
Provide on-site hardware repair staff.
Responsible for equipment malfunction notification to the appropriate equipment repair vendor for component(s) covered by maintenance agreements and warranties.
Utilize existing storage and/or workspace for minimal and/or routine repairs.
Attend to and support service request for the current operational environment, across multiple geographical locations.
Good communication skills.
Positive track record working with the DHA is a plus
Associates (in Computer Science or related field) with 2 - 4 year experience
