A PC Technician with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical users in an understandable and concise manner while solving complex technical issues is wanted at Robert Half Technology. This role may be for you if you are a self-starter and a problem solver who enjoys working in a positive, dynamic environment. The long term temporary-to-fulltime PC Technician will work in the Flemington, New Jersey, area. What you get to do every day

  • Follow company quality standards to ensure the integrity of all electronic data records

  • Complete PC-to-PC data transfers and troubleshoot software/hardware and break/fix

  • Take responsibility for technology implementation projects and carry them out

  • Track equipment inventory, and suggest and assist with purchases

  • Provide frequent and effective communication with ticket submitters

  • Record daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions or installation activities

  • Install printers, and troubleshoot and repair issues

  • Handle disassembly, boxing, movement and setup/installation on site

  • Dismantle, box and ship outdated equipment

  • Assist with functionality testing and end user support

  • Arrange repairs with the suitable vendors

  • Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and refurbish PCs, laptops, monitors, server, and other computer hardware

  • Handle all imaging and preparation tasks for new computers

Requirements

  • PC skills experience desired

  • Knowledge of Firewall

  • Deep understanding of WANs (Wide Area Network)

  • Active problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity

  • Proven flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments

  • Strong attention to detail

  • CompTIA A+ certification mandatory

  • Familiar with network design and implementation strategies

  • 5+ years of experience supporting PC and Mac hardware and software, as well as knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and LAN

  • Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment
