Apply a variety of analytical techniques to formulate and solve problems; plan for future technologies; conduct research and development; and define requirements for systems. Support the Helicopter Program Office (AFLCMC/WIH). One of six centers under Air Force Materiel Command, the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center is the single center responsible for total life cycle management of Air Force weapon systems. (Positions are contingent upon contract award)

Essential Job Functions:

Apply expert rotary wing aircrew experience and knowledge to ensure assigned projects remain consistent with program objectives, costs, schedules, performance criteria, and existing policies.

Interpret and implement training requirements for the HPO including but not limited to Aircrew Training Devices (ATDs), Courseware/Interactive Multimedia Instruction, and Type One Training.

Make recommendations on complex and/or controversial issues related to Type One training, courseware, and device design.

Provide a range of acquisition support activities in manpower and personnel management.

Provide recommendations for completing manpower and personnel documentation.

Assist in the formulation of recommendations on matters regarding manpower data requirements and reporting using database and other systems.

Assist in developing and documenting recommended logistics inputs for PWSs, RFPs and CDRLs.

Assist in the management of the 12 product support/integrated logistics support (ILS) elements.

Draft documentation support and perform analyses to ensure program supportability.

Assist in developing acquisition strategies and prepare acquisition documentation/products in support of the HPO programs. Documents may include, but are not limited to, Acquisition Decision Memorandums, Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, Acquisition Strategies, Acquisition Program Baselines, Risk Management Plans, Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and milestone decision briefs.

Assist with performing analysis of problems and issues including identification of potential impacts/risks to programs and mitigation/avoidance strategies.

Assist with developing, analyzing and maintaining integrated program schedules and plans throughout the program life-cycle.

Be familiar with non-developmental item integration, agile development, certification and accreditation, and A&A processes.

Assist in developing acquisition strategies and prepare acquisition documentation/products in support of the HPO programs. Documents may include, but are not limited to, Acquisition Decision Memorandums, Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, Acquisition Strategies, Acquisition Program Baselines, Risk Management Plans, Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and milestone decision briefs.

Assist with performing analysis of problems and issues including identification of potential impacts/risks to programs and mitigation/avoidance strategies.

Perform configuration and data management tasks.

Prepare spreadsheets, briefings, figures, graphics, tables, forms, and papers, providing finished products both classified and unclassified, in the media and format requested.

Provide configuration management support for hardware and software.

Develop, write, revise, and edit reports, articles, manuals, specifications, presentation materials, programmatic documents and technical documents.

Coordinate source-selection and acquisition milestone documentation.

Consolidate inputs into common documents.

Support analysis of the HPO OTRR.

Conduct an OT&E analysis to support the PM's assessment of whether the program is ready to enter into dedicated OT&E.

Review the templates in AFMAN 63-119 and tailor for applicability to the HPO program.

Review the OEMs design and development of training programs that are instructor-led synchronous and/or traditional classroom and electronic learning that is asynchronous and/or self-paced to support Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI).

Review the OEMs design and development of Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) conformant learning solutions that support the performance outcomes and requirements to operate or maintain applicable Mission Design Series (MDS), support equipment, and associated training requirements.

Gather and analyze requirements and work closely with the Government PM to monitor and control cost, performance, schedule, and scope.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

High School/GED and 10 years of experience to a Bachelors and 3 years of experience.

Secret Clearance.
