Heir Property Staff Attorney

Job Description Job Description Legal Services Alabama, Inc. (LSA), is one of the largest statewide law firms in Alabama. LSA provides free, client-centered civil legal advocacy to low-income Alabamians and collaborates with others across the state and nation to find solutions to systemic issues caused by poverty and social justice inequities.

The Heir Property S taff Attorney position will provide legal representation in civil legal matters with a primary focus on matters connected to heir property in rural areas. The primary focus of the position will be to educate communities about heir property and the legal problems that can arise surrounding it and also to assist clients in resolving issues related to heir property. The attorney will organize and attend trainings, clinics, and strategy sessions to assist attorneys, litigants, and community partners.

Position : Full Time Location(s) : Can be based out of any LSA office in Alabama Qualifications : This position is an exciting opportunity for attorneys who are admitted to the Alabama Bar and who are passionate about serving low-income populations. Preference is given to attorneys who are bilingual. Salary : Starting pay $54,810/year Benefits : LSA offers an excellent benefits package, valued at approximately $20,000, including six weeks of paid leave annually and 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for each employee.
